Returns & Cancellations Policy
Because of the time, care, and labour involved in creating our special editions, please read the following policy carefully BEFORE placing an order with us.
Returns
We do not accept returns or exchanges on any items unless they arrive damaged.
Each special edition is made to order and requires 2–3 months of preparation and production before shipping. For this reason, we are unable to resell returned items.
If your order arrives damaged:
• You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery
• Please provide clear photographs of the damage and packaging
• Once verified, we will offer a replacement or refund, depending on the item and stock availability
Damage caused by wear and tear, misuse, or accidental damage after delivery is not covered for replacement.

Cancellations
You may cancel your order within 14 days of purchase.
After 14 days, cancellations are no longer accepted.
This is because production materials, time, and labour are committed early in the creation process.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that:
• Work may begin shortly after purchase
• Once the 14-day cancellation period has passed, the order is considered locked into production

Brilliant Creations Book Box
At Brilliant Creations, we take great care in curating and packaging each BC Book Box. Due to the limited and exclusive nature of many items included, we operate a clear and fair policy in line with UK consumer law.
Please read the information below carefully before submitting a claim.

Damaged Items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, items must arrive as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for purpose. We are happy to review damage claims that meet the criteria below.
What Qualifies as Damage
An item will be considered damaged if it arrives with:
Books
• Torn, ripped, or missing pages (dust jackets must be more than 2cm to qualify for replacement)
• Cracked or broken spines (dents and creases must be more than 3cm to qualify)
• Detached or loose covers
• Significant dents or creases affecting the structure of the book
• Severe water damage
• Major printing or binding faults that impact readability
Special Features
• Substantial loss or peeling of foiling
• Large chips, gouges, or missing sections on sprayed edges
• Severe misalignment of cover artwork
Book Box Items
• Items broken on arrival
• Major manufacturing defects that prevent the item from being used as intended

What Does Not Qualify as Damage
The following are considered minor imperfections and are not eligible for replacement or refund:
• Small dents, corner bumps, or light creasing
- rips and tears smaller than 2cm
- Minor spine wear
- Light scratches or scuffs
- Small ink dots or printing variations
- Slightly uneven or lightly speckled sprayed edges
- Minor foiling inconsistencies
- Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect use or readability
- Rips smaller than 2cm or dents/scuffs smaller than 3cm
- Creases in hardcover caused from the fold of the spine
- Bleeding on pages
These imperfections are common in the production and shipping of special edition and handmade items and do not render the item faulty under UK consumer law.

Reporting Damage
To allow us to assess your claim fairly, damage must be reported:
• Within 48 hours of delivery
• Via email to [your support email]
• With clear photographic evidence, including:
• The full item
• Close-up images of the damage
• Original packaging (where relevant)
Claims submitted outside this timeframe or without sufficient evidence may not be eligible for review.

Replacements & Refunds
• Approved replacements are subject to stock availability
• If a replacement is unavailable, we may offer:
• A partial refund
• Store credit
• Another appropriate resolution at our discretion
All resolutions will be provided in accordance with UK consumer law.

Lost in Transit
If your Brilliant Creations Book Box has not arrived:
• Please allow up to 14 working days from dispatch for UK orders
• International orders may take longer depending on destination
If your parcel appears to be lost, you must contact us within:
• 30 days of dispatch (UK orders)
• 45 days of dispatch (international orders)
We will:
• Investigate the issue with the courier
• Replace the box (subject to availability) or
• Offer a refund or store credit if a replacement is not possible
We are unable to issue replacements or refunds for lost parcels once the claim window has passed.

Important Information
• We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, courier backlogs, or incorrect delivery details provided at checkout
• Damage caused after delivery, including mishandling or improper storage, is not covered
• Colour variation and finish differences may occur due to printing and manufacturing processes

Frequently Asked Questions
My book has a small dent — can I get a replacement?
Small dents, corner bumps, and light wear are considered minor imperfections and are not eligible for replacement.
My sprayed edges aren’t perfectly even — is this damage?
No. Slight unevenness, speckling, or colour variation is normal for sprayed edges and does not qualify as damage.
What if my item is damaged but stock has sold out?
If a replacement is unavailable, we will offer an alternative resolution such as store credit or a partial refund.
Do I need to return damaged items?
In most cases, no. We may request additional photos instead. Returns are only requested in rare circumstances.
What if my parcel says “delivered” but I haven’t received it?
Please check with household members and neighbours first. If the parcel cannot be located, contact us within the timeframes listed under Lost in Transit.
